Princess of Narathiwat University is a newly established university under the Princess of Narathiwat University Act, B.E. 2548 (2005). It was formed by merging four educational institutions in Narathiwat Province: Narathiwat Technical College, Boromarajonani College of Nursing Narathiwat, Narathiwat Agricultural and Technology College, and Tak Bai Vocational College.

Princess of Narathiwat University has unique characteristics that distinguish it from other universities. It continues to provide sub-degree level education, which was the original mission of Narathiwat Technical College, Narathiwat Agricultural and Technology College, and Tak Bai Vocational College. Additionally, it develops undergraduate education to meet the needs of the area, ensuring access to education for people in the southern border provinces. Alongside this, it fulfills other missions as a higher education institution.

Since its establishment in 2005, Princess of Narathiwat University has undergone a transformation from the original context of the merged educational institutions to its new role and mission as a higher education institution. Leaders must unify the personnel, boost morale, develop staff, and strengthen the university’s prominence to gain acceptance.
